Job Title: Food Sales Representative
We are a leading manufacturer of frozen, premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are sold through distributors to various establishments such as restaurants, resorts and hotels, bars, cruise lines, and specialty gourmet manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
As a Food Sales Representative, your main responsibility will be to maintain and develop a network of 30+ food distributors across 19 Western US states, with a focus on CA, NV, and AZ. Your key goals will be to grow market share, ensure customer satisfaction, exceed sales and profitability targets set by the company, and manage a team of 1 Sales Representative.
You will need to identify revenue-generating opportunities with distributor accounts, track trends, implement methods to improve service and sales, and capitalize on new opportunities using sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other available resources. It will be essential to utilize CRM software to capture all customer engagement.
Working closely with the Director of Sales, you will review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for the region, and provide input for the annual budget. You will also review the communication strategy to ensure operational support needs are met.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A BA/BS degree is required for this position.
- You should have at least 3 years of experience in food sales, specifically selling to foodservice distributors.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Excel on a daily basis is essential.
- Ability to prepare and utilize 30/60/90-day planning.
- Experience in data analysis, sales reporting, product training, and trade show planning is highly desired.
- This position requires approximately 50% travel and accessibility to airports.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive base salary range of $90-95K, along with a 20% bi-annual bonus. Additionally, we provide 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, an EAP program, a 401K plan, approximately 12% annual profit sharing, 11 paid holidays, vacation time, a company laptop with docking station, a cell phone, and a company credit card. Mileage reimbursement is also offered.
