Clinical Nutritionist

Location: San Bernardino, CA
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year + Bonus + Full Benefits + Signing Bonus

The Clinical Nutritionist is responsible for creating and implementing the nutrition program, working closely with the interdisciplinary team (IDT). Along with providing nutrition services such as assessments and counseling to the participants, the Clinical Nutritionist acts as a liaison between the food and supplement service providers, develops menus, and ensures compliance with all kitchen and meal service delivery regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nutrition assessments to determine the needs, preferences, and goals of participants, and actively contribute to IDT meetings to develop care plans for participants
• Deliver and document direct care nutrition interventions in accordance with physician orders and/or as agreed upon in the participants' care plans, including managing special diets and providing nutrition counseling to participants and their families
• Supervise menu planning and meal delivery programs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and to provide participants with their specified diets
• Manage the nutrition staff, which includes hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring
• Guide the intake and enrollment process to ensure timely and efficient processing of prospective participants

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian with a minimum of four (4) years of experience overseeing nutrition services in a similar setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / First Aid Certification is required
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills in senior, family, and IDT settings
• At least one (1) year of experience working with frail or elderly populations
