Your Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will take charge of delivering top-quality, compassionate patient care. You will establish meaningful connections with patients and their families, while guiding and backing your healthcare team through effective communication, delegation, and mentorship.
Main Duties Include:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments on admission and throughout treatment
- Create and execute customized care plans with patients and the interdisciplinary team
- Accurately document all care activities, observations, and any changes
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
- Assign and oversee LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, ED Clerks, and other team members
- Promote safety and quality improvements by engaging in performance initiatives
- Provide effective hand-offs and contribute to team briefings and care transitions
- Maintain annual competencies and adhere to regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Canada and eligibility for an Alabama RN license
- New Graduates or minimum 1+ year of acute care experience will be considered
- Associate Degree in Nursing as a minimum requirement (BSN preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross (must obtain within 6 months of start date)
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC are appreciated for unit-specific roles
