Summary:The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for measuring lung capacity and analyzing blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. Additionally, the role may entail providing tobacco cessation education, conducting bedside PFT and EKGs as ordered by the provider, delivering therapy as prescribed in the care plan, monitoring and documenting patient condition, evaluating respiratory care policies, responding to codes and emergencies, educating patients and their families about illnesses and community support groups, managing respiratory care supplies, sterilizing equipment, and performing maintenance and calibration of machines.
Qualifications:- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License
- Graduate of a CRT or RRT Program required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire
- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care
Our facility is an 80-bed acute care hospital.
The positions available are night shifts from 7pm to 7am and weekends will need to be rotated.
The salary range is $24 to $36 per hour, depending on experience. We offer an excellent benefits package and may provide relocation/sign-on bonuses.
