THE ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:
These positions are available due to multiple ongoing retail projects. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, managing field and subcontractor personnel, and ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. This includes maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating trade personnel, and implementing proper construction safety practices. You will also be responsible for managing the job site office and completing project closeouts. This company is open to candidates living anywhere in the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern TN (who are willing to relocate) and are open to local travel and occasional night work.

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Manage all field operations to ensure project completion according to schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Create and maintain construction schedules, identify and solve problems
  • Order materials and schedule necessary inspections throughout the project
  • Thoroughly understand project plans and specifications
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and fellow employees
  • Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and oversee final punch list completion
  • Promote job site safety, enforce safe work practices, and address any job site hazards
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including storm-water compliance
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, including the construction office
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with all trades
  • Review job cost reports and assist Project Manager in budget control
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback prior to contract award
  • Develop staging plans and manage site logistics
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to schedule critical path craft pre-construction meetings before mobilization
  • Review submitted materials for compliance and coordination
  • Ensure quality workmanship by overseeing workflow for crafts, suppliers, employees, and third-party contractors

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in crew management or supervision of remodel/upfit projects
  • Proficient in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all construction phases
  • Experience with Retail Remodel and/or Retail Upfit for Publix and/or Walmart

MUST HAVE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AND STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS
