YOUR ROLE:
Multiple positions available due to ongoing retail projects. As a Retail Renovation Manager, you will oversee all on-site construction activities, including managing field and subcontractor personnel to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion. This role requires ensuring the highest quality standards, coordinating trade and field personnel, and ensuring exemplary construction safety practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the job site office and handling project closeouts. The client is open to candidates residing in the Carolinas, Georgia, or Eastern Tennessee who are open to local travel and occasional night work.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities
- Manage all field operations, ensuring project completion on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards and specifications
- Create and maintain construction schedules, identifying and resolving issues
- Procure materials and schedule necessary inspections throughout the project
- Thoroughly understand project plans and specifications
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
- Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and oversee the completion of final punch lists
- Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
- Enforce company safety policies and regulations, including storm-water compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, including the construction office
- Conduct weekly progress meetings with all trades
- Review job cost reports and assist the Project Manager in budget control
- Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback prior to contract award
- Establish staging plans and manage site logistics
- Collaborate with the Project Manager in scheduling critical path craft pre-construction meetings
- Review and provide feedback on submittals for compliance and coordination
- Ensure high-quality workmanship from crafts, suppliers, employees, and third-party contractors
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 to 6 years of experience leading crews or supervising remodel/upfit projects
- Proficient in scheduling, ordering materials, field supervision, quality control, safety, and construction production
- Experience in Retail Remodel or Retail Upfit for Publix and/or Walmart
MUST HAVE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AND STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS
