Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid RN license in the state of Kansas.
• An Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with at least six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hours and Compensation:
• Full-time position, working three nights per week from 7p-730a, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
• Salary range between $30-$49 per hour, based on years of experience. Additional pay increase available for those with a BSN. Shift differentials are as follows: $2.00/hr for evenings, $2.50/hr for nights, and $2.70/hr for weekends.
• Comprehensive benefits package including sign-on/relocation bonus of $5k for a 1-year commitment or $10k for a 2-year commitment, as well as $5k per year in tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities:
• Provide general nursing care to patients in a hospital healthcare facility.
• Utilize AIDET in daily communication with patients, visitors, staff, and other departments.
• Greet visitors and accompany them to their destination.
• Coordinate with the Charge Nurse to obtain an appropriate patient assignment, including obtaining a bedside report from the off-going RN or LPN, and acquiring a unit telephone.
• Update and maintain the patient's White Communication board.
• Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all assigned patients and document in the electronic chart in real-time.
• Monitor patients throughout the shift, documenting any changes and notifying providers or the Charge Nurse/House Supervisor as necessary. Monitor telemetry, SCU, labs, and test results.
• Perform hourly rounding, coordinating with assistive staff and providing necessary teaching to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications using approved nursing techniques and Med/Verify.
• Administer treatments as directed by physicians and according to nursing standards and policies.
• Educate patients and families throughout the shift, documenting education on the electronic flow chart.

Additional Information:
Our facility is an acute care hospital with under 50 beds, operating as a not-for-profit entity. The target nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1, but it may be 3-4:1 until the census grows. Depending on the census, additional nursing staff or CNAs may be present to assist.
