Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional nursing school.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in the emergency department.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas, or immediate eligibility.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment, prior to administering independent patient care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Hours and Compensation:
- Two positions available, both offering 12-hour shifts.
- Available positions include night shifts (starting at 7 PM) and rotating weekends.
- Hourly pay range is $38.00 to $49.00, depending on experience. Night shift workers receive a $4.50 hourly shift differential.
- A comprehensive benefits package is included.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process, under general supervision of the Charge Nurse.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients.
- Serve as a patient advocate within the healthcare system.
- Perform patient care that requires specialized training and skills.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, care, and treatment of patients in accordance with legal, ethical, professional, and institutional standards.
- Participate in the hospital's Quality Improvement and Service Excellence programs.
