Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year with bonus

Job Summary for the Robotic Welder/Programmer: The Robotic Welder/Programmer will be responsible for the operation and programming of robotic welding equipment, optimizing their performance for maximum uptime. This position requires strong programming skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset. The technician should stay updated on industry developments and have a passion for the technical field of service.

Job Responsibilities of the Robotic Welder/Programmer:

• Develop and optimize welding programs based on engineering drawings and production requirements.

• Use programming languages such as G-code to create accurate welding paths.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to make necessary adjustments to robotic programs.

• Set up and calibrate robotic welding systems, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic welding equipment.

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to promptly address technical issues or malfunctions.

• Monitor and inspect welded components for quality and adherence to specifications.

• Implement quality control processes and make adjustments to maintain consistent weld quality.

• Identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies in the welding process.

• Adhere to and enforce safety protocols for robotic welding operations.

• Maintain accurate records of robotic welding programs, adjustments, and maintenance activities.

• Generate reports on production output, efficiency, and any issues encountered during welding.

Education & Experience for the Robotic Welder/Programmer:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or degree in welding technology or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience troubleshooting robotic/welding equipment.
  • Prior experience programming welding and robotic welding processes.
  • Prior experience inspecting and sampling incoming parts and raw materials.
  • Proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
