Roofing Sales Representative

Location: Chicago, IL

Dynamic Roofing Company in Chicago. Seeking 2 Sales/Estimator positions. Immediate hiring

- Proposal Submission: Responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs), creating bids, and securing roofing projects for commercial and industrial clients

- Building Relationships: Establishing connections with new and existing customers

- Sales Strategy: Responsible for identifying additional sales opportunities through maintenance and service calls.

Key Responsibilities:

· Estimation and Bidding:

o Analyze and comprehend project specifications, scope of work, and architectural plans.

o Calculate costs for labor and materials, and create itemized material lists.

o Prepare quotations and bids for negotiated re-roofing projects or consultant re-roofing based on field information.

o Assist in updating and enhancing estimation and bidding procedures to align with market and business changes.

· Product and Procurement:

o Collaborate with manufacturers' representatives to obtain current material pricing and assembly details.

o Stay up to date with industry standards, processes, and techniques.

· Customer Satisfaction and Business Growth:

o Maintain strong relationships and effective communication with prime contractors, owners, staff, and manufacturers to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

· Project Management:

o Collaborate with project management to effectively transition accepted proposals into active projects.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

· Product:

o Proficiency in various single-ply roofing materials and attachment methods.

o Ability to interpret specifications, bid documents, and perform project takeoffs.

o Capability to compile and prepare project submittals.

· Analytical Skills: Aptitude in working with mathematical concepts and utilizing spreadsheets for basic calculations and ratio analyses.

· Project Management:

o Sharp attention to detail and proficiency in organizational, administrative, logistical, and communication skills.

o Capability to calculate pricing and assess cost implications for change orders.

o Data Management: Proficiency in software technology, including Excel and Word. Familiarity with DataForma is advantageous.

o Team Coordination: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

· Passing a pre-hire criminal background check is mandatory.


· Over 2 years of experience in Construction Sales or as an Estimator in roofing or commercial construction.
