Plant Safety and Environmental Manager - Jonesboro, AR

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in plant level safety and environmental management
• Work background in a heavy manufacturing setting, such as a steel foundry, metal forming, or automotive production
• Bachelor of Science degree required in a technical or science-related field

Responsibilities:

The Plant Safety and Environmental Manager will lead all safety initiatives for a mid-size plant and report directly to the General Manager. The main focus will be on promoting and ensuring safety and health in the workplace. This includes driving behavioral safety initiatives, coaching employees to foster a strong safety culture, and providing training to enhance accountability for safety.

General environmental compliance, including waste handling and water management, is also a part of this role. No permitting experience is needed for this aspect of the position.
