Sales Account Executive

Location: Troy, MI
We are currently seeking a Sales Account Executive for a medium-sized tier one automotive supplier of mechanical components. This position will replace the current Sales Manager who will be retiring at the end of the year. The company, based in TN, is a market leader in the industry and specializes in the production of high-quality parts. Although titled Sales Manager, this role will be the sole salesperson within the company. While they have an office in Troy, it will soon be closing, making this primarily a remote position with occasional travel to TN to collaborate with the team. The company values teamwork and is looking for a highly collaborative individual. The salary for this position is $130,000, plus discretionary bonus. Our company is an innovative and technologically advanced tier-1 supplier that specializes in providing mechanical assemblies to OEMs in the automotive industry. We are currently looking for a talented Sales Account Executive to lead our new business development and ongoing sales activities in the North America Automotive Industry. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Building strong customer relationships and providing hands-on leadership for our North American sales and marketing efforts.
  • Developing new business opportunities and providing ongoing support for existing business.
  • Serving as a liaison between customers and internal colleagues to manage, analyze, implement, and negotiate complex commercial and business-related issues.
  • Supporting all program activities from initial product concept to product phase-out.
  • Receiving and distributing RFQ packages and submitting quotations through customer portal applications.
  • Processing and distributing customer purchase orders for prototype parts, production parts, and post-production parts.
  • Working with accounts receivable to resolve purchase order and payment discrepancies.
  • Attending meetings and executing project activities with multiple OEMs.
