Location: Fresno, CA

International company focused on enhancing soil nutrition and root health is seeking a Sales Agronomist for the Central Valley region in California. Knowledge of citrus and blueberry crops is a valuable asset.

The company provides science-based plant and soil services that create a beneficial relationship between crop performance and technology for farmers. This includes a cloud-based data platform that supports informed decision making.

The main responsibility of this role is to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions using the company's technology, services, and products. Sales Agronomists will support and promote their clients' business growth.


• Advise clients on plant nutrition strategies to optimize crop yield

• Provide technical recommendations based on various analyses to customers

• Identify and pursue business opportunities to increase market share

• Build and maintain customer relationships through regular visits

• Market and sell company products and services

• Secure repeat business from existing clients

• Establish strategic partnerships and position oneself as a trusted advisor

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients and industry stakeholders

• Gain extensive knowledge of the company's products and their application within specific crops and geographic locations

• Participate in industry associations, trade shows, and conferences

• Conduct research and development to improve product offerings

• Perform field trials to evaluate product effectiveness

• Compile and meet sales budgets

• Maintain financial and administrative records

Experience / Background

• BS or AS degree in Agronomy or related field

• 3-5 years of experience in plant health or nutrition

• Agronomy expertise with references from Central Valley customers

• Strong understanding of fruit crops

• Familiarity with precision agriculture, soil science, and plant nutrition

• Passion for the field of agriculture

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Experience in marketing and selling products and services

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
