Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Omaha, NE

Note: This role requires being present at the Omaha, NE office five days a week.

Note: A minimum of 5 years of experience in scale maintenance, construction, or material handling systems is required. Those who do not meet this requirement will have scheduled calls canceled.

**The successful candidate must be open to traveling 6-10 nights per month**

Job Description

  • Supervise and oversee the company's Scale Maintenance Program across various sites
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal Weights & Measures regulations
  • Collaborate with operations and EHS teams on proactive safety and compliance endeavors
  • Offer guidance and supervision on facility capital projects and enhancements
  • Direct third-party scale maintenance contractors and negotiate service contracts
  • Uphold quality benchmarks and establish technical best practices at different locations
  • Evaluate weigh systems and assist in maintenance planning for grain handling operations
  • Travel up to 10 nights per month to distant locations as required
  • Maintain regular reporting on maintenance activities, compliance, and results

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in scale maintenance, construction, or bulk material handling
  • High School Diploma or GED is a prerequisite
  • A background in agriculture or grain handling is highly preferred
  • Proficient in interpreting building plans and managing service agreements
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working safely at heights up to 200 ft
  • Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, or confined settings with proper PPE
  • Advanced computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, databases)
  • Degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field is advantageous
