Skills and Experience:

This job entails a senior-level role, where the individual will serve as the lead on either large commercial projects or small projects and will be responsible for scheduling tasks. The key responsibilities include assembling and analyzing project information, preparing clear and concise documents to address design discrepancies and problems, and enhancing the planning and scheduling efficiency of projects. The person will collaborate with the project team and trade partners to create comprehensive schedules and monitor project progress according to established schedules and departmental procedures. Additionally, they will oversee the analysis, input, and monitoring of design deliverables, procurement, and construction schedules. The role also requires the development of internal and external reports outlining project status. The job necessitates the application of planning, scheduling, and cost techniques and methods, with ample room for evaluating, analyzing, and modifying standards to solve problems effectively.

  • Proficient in using ERP cost management tools.
  • Expertise in using Primavera 6.
  • Familiarity with programs such as Excel and Word.

  • Prior industrial or commercial construction experience of 7-10 years is mandatory.
  • B.S. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration is preferred.

Essential Job Duties:

The Construction Project Coordinator oversees all project-scheduling activities for assigned projects. They rely on their expertise in schedule development and the construction industry to create accurate schedules.

  • Develop conceptual schedules independently, which can be further refined by the project team.
  • Seeking expertise in scheduling and 3D modeling.
  • Maintain a database of estimated durations for activities and overall project durations.
  • Create the baseline overall schedule by properly sequencing work activities.
  • Supervise all project scheduling activities and provide regular updates, forecasts, and reports as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the project team to design project schedule layouts, alternate schedules, and progress measurement systems.
  • Review and evaluate monthly schedule updates from Vendors and Subcontractors.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the updates in representing the completed work.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of project flow and logistics.
  • Support ongoing projects by coordinating with the project manager and discipline leads regarding project status, identifying areas for improvement, delays, and areas requiring additional focus.
  • Suggest alternative plans to keep the project on schedule.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by project management.
