Speech-language pathologists are communication specialists. They assess, diagnose, prevent, and provide therapy and counseling for individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:

Deliver life-changing treatment, support, and care to individuals, including children and adults, struggling with communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties. You will assist those who have difficulties speaking and communicating due to physical or psychological reasons.

In addition, you may also be responsible for educating staff about the importance and benefits of speech therapy.

License or Certification:
Applicants must possess a current SLPA certificate before the first day of employment.
CPR certification, TB skin test, Auto Insurance, and Driver License

Educational Requirements:
A minimum of an Associate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certificate program.
Prior experience is preferred, but not required.
