Senior Account Executive – Energy Solutions (Performance Contracting)

Compensation: $91,400 – $141,800 base + uncapped commission + full benefits


About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Senior Account Executive to join a national Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Solutions provider. In this key sales position, you will focus on performance contracting to assist commercial and institutional clients in lowering energy costs and achieving sustainability goals through guaranteed savings solutions.

This role is perfect for an experienced sales professional who can establish trust with C-suite executives and cultivate long-term, consultative partnerships. If you have experience selling significant energy efficiency projects, renewable service agreements, or intricate facilities solutions, this opportunity is for you.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead the entire sales process for bundled energy solutions with guaranteed savings.

  • Target decision-makers in key vertical markets and develop lasting client relationships.

  • Work closely with clients to grasp their operational, environmental, and financial priorities, and propose customized energy-saving solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineers, finance teams, legal, and project managers to create successful proposals and contracts.

  • Utilize sales tools (Salesforce, TAS, Account Planning) to manage pipeline and close complex deals.

  • Provide guidance to junior salespeople and contribute to go-to-market strategy and territory planning.

  • Advocate for the customer from initial pitch to post-implementation.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 5–7+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in energy performance contracting, energy efficiency, or sustainability consulting.

  • Demonstrated success in closing large, multi-year deals at the C-suite level.

  • Ability to build consultative relationships and close deals that align with client priorities.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to present technical solutions in ROI-driven proposals.

  • A willingness to travel up to 50%.
