Senior Data Analyst
Client is a national financial services firm.
Position Overview:
This crucial role entails leading the enhancement and modification efforts of the deposit insurance calculator's ETL processes. The candidate will collaborate with experts from both the business and technology teams to refine the calculator's logic and processes, create actionable requirements, and oversee thorough testing to ensure accurate and successful deployment of updates into production.
Successful execution of this role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a profound understanding of financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take charge of the development and deployment of system enhancements and corrections for the deposit insurance calculator's ETL.
• Collaborate with business experts and technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Create and communicate detailed business requirements and action plans.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion of all phases, from development to testing and production deployment.
• Execute SQL queries on the calculator's database to support enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Transition from project-based responsibilities to business-as-usual (BAU) support functions gradually.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Extensive experience with SQL for querying databases.
- Hands-on experience working with developers in a production environment.
- Knowledge of bank regulatory reporting, including Axiom, is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Database experience within financial services, with an understanding of banking products and bank balance sheets.
Education:
- Master's Degree required.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate business requirements.
- Self-starter with the ability to independently lead initiatives from concept to completion.
