Position Overview

We are looking for dynamic Senior Business Development Executives with extensive experience in plant engineering and industrial services. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts within the process manufacturing industry. This role combines hunting for new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships, making it ideal for professionals who excel in building connections, closing complex deals, and driving growth in engineering and operations sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary contact for strategic clients in designated industries, ensuring high-quality service and long-term partnerships.

  • New Business Development (70%):

    • Identify and convert new business prospects in key industries (e.g., consumer goods, beauty, baby care, feminine care, family care).

    • Establish and maintain relationships with top decision-makers (C-level, Plant Heads, Procurement, Engineering).

    • Create personalized proposals and lead contract negotiations.

  • Account Growth (30%):

    • Increase business within existing accounts by recognizing upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

    • Ensure continued client satisfaction and engagement through proactive communication.

  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and align services such as CAPEX projects, maintenance engineering, or plant digitalization initiatives.

  • Project Oversight: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects meet expectations in scope, quality, timing, and budget.

  • Operational Accountability:

    • Monitor key account metrics like invoicing, collections, pipeline tracking, and revenue forecasts.

    • Deliver timely reports and uphold CRM best practices.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client challenges to develop winning strategies and unique service proposals.


Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • An MBA is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • 8–15 years of experience in business development or account management.

  • Knowledge of process, beauty, baby, feminine, or family care manufacturing industries is advantageous.

  • Previous experience selling engineering services or plant operations/technology solutions is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Adept at managing multiple stakeholders and navigating complex decision-making processes.

  • Initiative-driven with the aptitude to work independently and see projects through to completion.
