Senior Concrete Cost Analyst
Position Overview:
As a Senior Concrete Cost Analyst, you will be a key driver in ensuring the success of multi-story cast-in-place concrete projects. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed quantity take-offs, developing preliminary pricing, and managing cost estimation for complex structures throughout California. Your expertise in self-performed concrete estimation, including advanced knowledge of production rates, formwork systems, and various estimation tools, will be crucial to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for cast-in-place concrete elements, with a focus on multi-story structures.
- Create preliminary pricing and budgets based on quantity data, materials, and historical production rates.
- Analyze and apply man-hour production rates for different formwork systems, placing, and finishing tasks to ensure accurate estimates.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide estimates that align with project goals.
- Utilize software tools such as Excel, WinEst, Cost-OS, Timberline Precision Estimating, and PlanSwift/On-Screen Takeoff for all estimating functions.
- Support project teams with Model-Based Estimating (MBE) by using 3D models and digital tools to enhance accuracy and visualize project scope.
- Adjust estimates as project parameters change, offering insights and suggestions to optimize project costs.
Background Profile:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating self-performed, multi-story cast-in-place concrete structures in California.
- Expertise in man-hour production rates for various formwork systems, as well as placing and finishing tasks, based on historical project data.
- Proficiency in Excel, WinEst, Cost-OS, Timberline Precision Estimating, and PlanSwift/On-Screen Takeoff.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Estimating is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
