Job Title: Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Salary: $80-100K + plus bonus

Job Summary of the Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer: We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the foremost expert in implementing and leading Lean processes. As a CI Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and assistance to our leadership team regarding lean-related matters.

Qualifications of Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer:

  • Ability to identify and utilize best practices in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement-related processes.
  • Aptitude for development and identification of improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Evaluation and interpretation of industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements to establish robust procedures and instructions.
  • Assistance as a subject matter expert to investigate and resolve quality issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities, supporting both the site Quality teams and senior Quality leadership.
  • Leadership and facilitation of projects generated from our High-Performance Team Board process.
  • Installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities of the Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer:

· A degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, is required.

  • 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Expertise in ISO-9000 and internal auditing.
  • Experience with CORE, Lean, or Six-Sigma methodologies.
  • Support in the implementation of process improvements for manufacturing, product, and/or customer quality processes.
  • Utilization of knowledge and expertise to contribute to the development, application, and maintenance of prevention, root cause corrective action, quality control systems, and protocols.
  • Facilitation, communication, and visualization of process flow for stakeholders and teams.
  • Building relationships and influencing culture through effective change management skills, engaging with various levels of leadership and individual contributors.
  • Implementation of projects using proactive project management skills and risk mitigation techniques.
  • Design and delivery of solutions that meet organizational needs and add value to the organization.
  • Leadership and development efforts with minimal oversight, setting objectives and guiding others in achieving operational results.
  • 10% travel required.
  • Engineering degree is mandatory.
  • Clear and concise communication with all levels of the organization, able to establish objectives, identify and communicate risks and opportunities, and create value statements.
