Senior Operations Manager (Evening Shift)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have an exciting opportunity available at our manufacturing facility in Stuttgart, Arkansas for a talented individual with a strong passion for manufacturing and operations. As a member of the leadership team, the Senior Operations Manager (Evening Shift) will be responsible for developing and implementing an operational strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy, with a focus on improving factory safety, quality, and productivity. Our facility spans 750,000 square feet and employs over 1700 dedicated individuals.

· Ensure a safe work environment and uphold our company values of integrity, respect, and excellence by coaching a team of leaders in creating a positive and secure work environment.

  • Build strong relationships with shop floor employees and maintain an open-door policy to encourage open communication and collaboration.
  • Lead the hiring, direction, assessment, and development of team members, utilizing assessment tools, skill-building activities, and developmental programs to enhance their capabilities.
  • Develop a comprehensive departmental strategy to drive long-term improvements in operational efficiency.
  • Effectively manage a wide range of priorities in a fast-paced environment by utilizing delegation skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, safety, quality, engineering, and other stakeholders to achieve facility objectives.
  • Promote and embody the Stuttgart culture by fostering accountability, open communication, high ethical standards, and a caring attitude towards employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or a related field.
  • Must be available to work the evening shift.
  • 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Extensive experience in operations and manufacturing complex products using vertically integrated assembly operations processes, including software maintenance and implementations.
  • Thorough knowledge of metal punch, bending, and forming operations, utilizing both traditional and robotic systems.
  • Experience in developing business cases for capital projects and providing hands-on support throughout their implementation.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or a similar ERP system, as well as proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams towards achieving goals.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, including the ability to secure management buy-in and sponsorship through effective articulation of business benefits aligned with organizational objectives.
