Location: Kissimmee, FL
The Project Engineering Lead provides assistance to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent. The areas of support include establishing goals, planning, communication, organizing, implementation, and tracking.
Key Responsibilities
· Acquire, organize, review, and distribute project submittals.
· Assist with scheduling preparations and updates.
- Manage the work and relationships of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Mentor and guide less experienced Project Engineers.
- Communicate with owners regarding project matters and concerns.
- Prepare and maintain technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Project Progress Schedule as required.
- Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
- Calculate pricing and issue contracts and purchase orders to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Schedule subcontractor work and supplier material deliveries. Assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing.
- Maintain a highly organized work area.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and project documents.
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and organization employees.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Consideration will be given to those with three or more years of relevant experience as outlined in this job summary. Proficiency in Primavera 6, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint is required.
