RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the timely and within budget completion of Charter School projects and other assigned initiatives. They will ensure the productivity of project team members and vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Knowledge of K-12 and charter school projects, including OLSF guidelines for school construction, is required.
- Develop project timelines using specialized software.
- Proficient in AIA Contract Software, writing AIA Subcontractor Agreements, and managing AIA Contract Documents throughout the project lifecycle.
- Anticipate, address, and negotiate changes to project scopes as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of construction activities for new projects and facility upgrades. Manage contracts, subcontractors, and materials procurement in accordance with company policies.
- Establish project scopes, timelines, and cost estimates, including renovations, build-outs, and ground-up construction, in collaboration with company estimators.
- Supervise ongoing projects and support the Estimating Department when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in school construction following OSF guidelines.
- Experience in Design Assist/Design Build is a plus.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and scheduling skills.
- Proficiency in RFIs and proposal development.
- Previous experience with negotiated contracts.
- Proven ability in building and maintaining relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
