Senior Procurement Manager - Food and Beverage

Location: Napa, CA

This position requires 100% on-site presence.

We are a supplier of more than 40 high-quality, natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are distributed through various channels to foodservice, hospitality, manufacturers, and consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

In charge of overseeing all procurement operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate and manage contracts. Continuously assess supplier performance and implement necessary improvements. Manage inventory levels effectively.

Create and implement procurement strategies. Enforce procurement policies and procedures.

Analyze market trends and pricing data to identify opportunities for cost savings.

Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.

Validate supplier invoices against purchase orders. Keep track of outstanding purchase orders and monitor inbound material orders to ensure timely delivery.

Maintain comprehensive procurement records including costs, delivery details, product quality or performance, inventories, and lot tracking. Perform cost analysis of quotes to compare against current cost of goods.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).

At least 2 years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist in the food and beverage industry.

Thorough understanding of procurement practices, regulations, supply chain procedures, and inventory policies and procedures within the Food and Beverage industry.

Skills: Analytical mindset, strong negotiation abilities, problem-solving skills, ability to identify innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and adapting to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Proficiency in MS Office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with procurement software and tools, experience with Navision is an advantage.

Expected to undertake approximately 50% of international and regional travel for supplier site visits and to ensure compliance with QA document requirements.

Proof of Covid-19 vaccination in 2020 is a requirement.

Base Salary: $85K, includes company-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Additional benefits include EAP program, 401K, profit sharing (approximately 12% annually), 11 paid holidays, and vacation time.
