Position: Tax Senior Analyst

Location: Cleveland, OH
Responsibilities:

Take on a pivotal role within a dynamic corporate tax department to ensure prompt compliance and efficient project execution, with the aim of reducing the company's tax burden.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tax compliance functions by intelligently adopting cutting-edge technology solutions.

Gather and analyze general ledger information, and coordinate tax package requests for the preparation of Federal Form 1120 and corporate state returns.

Prepare tax computations, including supporting workpapers and documentation, for permanent and temporary book/tax differences, eliminations, and other accrual analyses.

Utilize tax software to prepare corporate proformas and consolidated federal returns.

Calculate estimated taxes, file extensions, and initiate tax payments.

Support the preparation of quarterly federal and state tax provision calculations.

Assist with due diligence and modeling activities for potential mergers and acquisitions, as well as related integration efforts.

Conduct general tax research and contribute to tax planning projects.

Monitor and assess the impact of federal, state, and local tax legislation changes.

Support finance transformation activities, including the implementation of Alteryx and RPA solutions for accounting, planning, and tax functions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve business-related tax issues.
Qualifications:

Excellent analytical thinker with exceptional organizational and research skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax principles.

Emerging leader with sound judgement and a desire to mentor junior staff.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in C-Corp taxation (CPA firm or public company).

CPA and/or master's degree preferred.

Demonstrated commitment to professional excellence.
Skills, Experience & Abilities:

Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, or similar tax software.

Ability to conduct tax research and draw conclusions based on tax code, regulations, case law, rulings, and tax commentary.

Exceptional skills in managing and analyzing large amounts of data.

Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, or a similar ERP system, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
