Senior Breast Imaging Technologist

Salary: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
+ $10,000 Signing Bonus
+ Paid Relocation

This position requires working 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. There may be a need for coverage at other sites in San Mateo, CA, and Berkeley, CA.

Our licensed Senior Breast Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing both screening and diagnostic breast imaging and procedures. The successful candidate must be able to produce high-quality images following the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines for both diagnostic and screening exams. In addition to technical skills, this technologist must have excellent communication and coordination abilities to interact with clinicians and other departments to ensure coordinated patient care.

This technologist should be proficient in working with radiology information systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Active participation in departmental performance improvement initiatives is also expected. The technologist must maintain accurate records of quality control and participate in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Additionally, there may be a requirement to train and mentor students and new hires as needed.

• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology technology-training program
• Flexible availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to provide assistance at different Medical Center locations
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography for Senior level. More than 5 years of experience for Principal level
• ARRT Mammography Certification
• CRT Radiology License
• CRT Mammography License
• BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
• Documentation of at least 40 hours of mammography-specific training, if certified after April 27, 1999
• Documentation of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months (rolling 24-month calendar)
• Certificates of at least 15 CEUs in mammography in the last 36-month period (rolling 36-month calendar) that must include at least 6 CEUs in each mammography modality used
• Proof of MQSA approved 3D Tomosynthesis training

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in mammography
• ARRT Mammography Certification
• CRT Radiology License
• Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology technology-training program
• CRT Mammography License
• BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
• Documentation of at least 40 hours of mammography-specific training, if certified after April 27, 1999
• Documentation of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months (rolling 24-month calendar)
• Certificates of at least 15 CEUs in mammography in the last 36-month period (rolling 36-month calendar) that must include at least 6 CEUs in each mammography modality used
• Proof of MQSA approved 8 hours each of Digital and 3D Tomosynthesis training
