Senior Automotive Design Engineer
Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Automotive Design Engineer to join our team at our facilities in Auburn, AL. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to design, plan, and supervise various automotive design projects. You will also be responsible for developing new materials, analyzing the impact of our products on the environment, and testing manufactured products for quality. This is a full-time, direct hire position with relocation assistance available.
Job Responsibilities: As a Senior Automotive Design Engineer, your main responsibilities will include repairing and maintaining precision instruments and processes, creating 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using Siemens NX, and preparing engineering release documentation. You will also be expected to participate in cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product development.
Education / Experience: To be considered for this position, you must have at least 5 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Experience with sheet metal, plastic, stamping, casting, or forging design and FEA is highly desired. Prior project management experience and the ability to CAD model and sketch in 3D space are also preferred. Authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.A. without sponsorship is required.
