Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst for Plant Control will be responsible for various financial activities, including closing processes, reporting, inventory management, and business planning for all North American Rail plants in Mascot, Ogden, and Lenexa. This role plays a crucial role in driving the financial performance of the plant and ensuring sound decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the Plant Controller, the Plant Management Team, and corporate stakeholders, providing results and analysis as necessary.

This position is based out of Mascot, TN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and KPI reports for all Rail plants, following company policies and GAAP.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Controller and Plant Management Team to ensure a comprehensive view of the plant's financial performance.
  • Support the plant's business planning process, incorporating productivity and cost targets.
  • Assist in monthly rolling forecasts and provide insights on variances.
  • Provide financial guidance for plant capital investments and business case justifications.
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost data for products, collaborating with product and business management.
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place to protect company assets.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Work independently to complete tasks and communicate results.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Occasionally travel to other locations for inventory purposes (<5% of the time).

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 4 years of finance and/or accounting experience, preferably in cost accounting.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and variance analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plant accounting.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
