Senior Production Engineer - Mechanical

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity at a leading international company for a Senior Production Engineer located near the Atlanta metropolitan area in Decatur, GA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Identify and resolve product and manufacturing process issues.
2. Develop and maintain quality documentation for programs.
3. Research, evaluate, and maintain manufacturing systems and equipment.
4. Lead new product launches and coordinate manufacturing goals.
5. Provide input on product design and manufacturing assembly.
6. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for process improvements.
7. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
8. Create and maintain detailed layouts of workspaces and equipment.
9. Train team members on technical skills and troubleshooting.
10. Perform assigned tasks and projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
2. Proficient in reading, interpreting, and creating technical documents.
3. Skilled in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and 2D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
4. Hands-on experience with CNC machining, automated assembly, and plastic injection molding.
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
6. Experience with OEE, scrap analysis, and manufacturing capacity calculations.
7. Knowledge of capital equipment projects and product launches meeting quality standards.
8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Organizational skills to motivate teams and accomplish objectives.
10. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
