Fabrication Senior Operations Manager

Location: Lebanon, TN

We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Production Manager for a position based in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Primary Role

The Sr. Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the productivity of the manufacturing department. This includes managing equipment, materials, and the workforce to achieve plant production, development, and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and other senior leaders to coordinate workflow across all departments and achieve safe and efficient production of high-quality products.

- Manage the manufacturing environment, including materials and equipment, to meet production, quality, and cost targets.

- Develop and coordinate production schedules, rates, and capacity plans, while overseeing processing methods and times.

- Plan budgeting and approve expenditures for required production resources, including equipment, materials, and workforce.

- Foster a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

- Direct first-line supervisors in reporting and scheduling activities.

- Lead communication of corrective action plans, resolutions, and quality results within the department.

- Analyze reports and reviews provided by first-line supervisors.

- Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports.

- Mentor production team members to create a professional and motivated workforce.

- Assist in company/plant planning, including department budget preparation, expenditure recommendations, and workforce/space forecasting.

- Report production, quality, maintenance, or personnel issues to the Director of Operations.

- Perform other assigned activities as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field.

- 8+ years of supervisory/management experience.

- Significant experience in manufacturing management and supervision.

- Familiarity with lean production principles and metrics.

- Ability to analyze metrics and reports, identifying problems and implementing appropriate corrective measures.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels within the plant.
