Primary Function
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project assignments, using the assigned project management system as a guide to achieve project objectives. This role will collaborate with a team to plan, organize, implement, and complete project assignments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor the development of moderate-level projects, including mechanical and manufacturing aspects of tankless water heater design.
- Maintain an up-to-date written description of the project as defined and updated.
- Assist in developing business and facility strategies to ensure the viability and growth of the product line.
- Participate in project identification meetings to define specifications and scope.
- Create and execute an engineering program using the Project Management System to achieve project objectives.
- Liaise with all department contacts to gather input and communicate project activity and progress.
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinate activities to resolve technical developments, scheduling issues, and design test problems.
- Evaluate and recommend design changes and specifications.
- Interact with other Engineering Staff to provide input based on individual expertise.
- Prepare project expense estimates and monitor expenditures within budget limitations.
- May provide guidance and assistance to less experienced Engineers and Technicians.
- Perform other necessary activities as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 3+ years of related work experience or training
- Experience in Gas - Tankless Water Heater design
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical reports
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
- High organizational and time management skills
