As an RF Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams across our five technology divisions to explore customer requirements, develop prototypes, and construct products that demand creativity and meticulousness. Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office and laboratory setting. Regular use of standard office equipment such as laptops and photocopiers, as well as specialized testing equipment like vector network analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This may involve lifting lab equipment, opening cabinets, and using stools as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a weekly requirement of 40 hours. Typical office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, although these hours are subject to change based on workload and managerial discretion. This job may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week.

Travel

Minimal travel (<10%) is expected for this position.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience with RF devices and networks, including amplifiers, attenuators, phase shifters, and mixers
  • Proficiency in RF signal budget analysis for system metrics like gain, noise figure, and power
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in a technical programming language such as Matlab or Python
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment, including network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to peers, management, and clients
  • Experience with printed circuit board layout and assembly
  • Desire to tackle new, challenging problems
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn from failures

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Proven ability to contribute to multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Previous experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and board layout
  • Experience with front-end design for radar or software-defined radios (SDR)
  • Prior experience with antenna design and testing
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, FEKO, CST, or Microwave Office
