Sr. SCADA/EMS/ADMS Engineer

General Description

We are seeking a qualified Senior SCADA engineer with experience in OSI/AspenTech monarch system. This position is available in either Alpharetta, GA or Sugar Land, TX. As a Senior SCADA Engineer, you will be responsible for system programming, configuration, documentation, testing, start-up, commissioning, and support for monarch SCADA systems and additional modules and platforms.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in a technical field with at least 3 years of relevant experience working with OSI/AspenTech monarch system

· Desired experience and proficiency with the following platforms:

a. Additional PLCs, DCS, HMI, SCADA platforms

b. Electrical Protection Relays (Multilin, SEL)

c. Historian systems

d. Other (Omni Flow Computer, ROC, Presets)

· Strong knowledge of Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and OPC communications protocols

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID’s, control panel wiring drawings, and field wiring diagrams

· Familiarity with external notification systems (text, email, mobile app, etc.)

· Knowledge of DeviceNet and/or Profibus communications protocols

Responsibilities

· Develop and update project and product documentation, including system configurations, networking diagrams, system architectures, and other project deliverables

· Execute project delivery and implementation activities to design, configure, integrate, test, and commission advanced control systems using the OSI/AspenTech monarch SCADA system

· Participate in the development of logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices, and functional narratives

· Contribute to the development and/or review of control panel design packages, field wiring diagrams, conduit & cable schedules, and associated E&I package deliverables

· Attend field verification and user requirements gathering walkdowns and meetings

· Execute factory acceptance testing, both witnessed and unwitnessed

· Conduct field start-up and commissioning activities, including troubleshooting support in person and remotely

· Contribute to and participate in client training sessions

· Provide after-hours support for internal/external clients as required

· Collaborate with Senior Engineering Leads and Project Managers to ensure deliverable quality and budget adherence, and to provide progress updates and address any issues or change requests

· Travel approximately 25% of the time, including air travel

Physical Requirements

· Sitting in office space for standard workday (8-10 hours, with breaks as needed)

· Travel by car to remote locations for up to 5 hours

· Travel by plane to locations with flight times up to 5 hours

· Kneeling and bending to investigate and document control panels and wiring

· Standing and walking around pipeline, terminal, and plant locations for up to 10-12 hours per day, including climbing stairs/ladders and crossing dike walls, to inspect and document instrumentation and wiring

· Outdoor work in challenging climates (e.g., summer in Texas and winter in Wyoming) while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
