General Description

We are seeking a qualified Sr. SCADA Engineer with experience in OSI/AspenTech monarch systems for our locations in Alpharetta, GA or Sugar Land, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, system configuration, system documentation, factory acceptance testing, start-up and commissioning, and support activities for existing and new installation monarch SCADA systems and its additional modules and platforms.

Qualifications

We require a B.S. in a Technical Field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience with OSI/AspenTech monarch system. Ideal candidates will also have experience and proficiency with additional PLCs, DCS, HMI, SCADA platforms, electrical protection relays (Multilin, SEL), historian systems, and other systems such as Omni Flow Computer, ROC, and Presets. Strong proficiency with Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and OPC communications protocols is required. Candidates must have a solid grasp of P&ID's, control panel wiring drawings, and field wiring diagrams, and be knowledgeable of external notification systems such as text, email, and mobile app. Familiarity with DeviceNet and/or Profibus communications protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Sr. SCADA Engineer, your responsibilities will include developing and updating project and product documentation, executing project delivery and implementation activities, participating in the development of logic diagrams and functional narrative, reviewing control panel design packages and E&I package deliverables, attending field verification and user requirements gathering walkdowns and meetings, executing factory acceptance testing and field start-up and commissioning, contributing to client training, providing after-hours support, and working with Senior Engineering Leads and Project Managers to ensure quality and budget adherence. Some travel (up to 25%) via air is required.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements for this role include sitting in an office space for a standard workday, traveling by car or plane to remote locations, kneeling or bending to investigate and document control panels and wiring, standing and walking around pipeline, terminal, and plant locations for extended periods, and working in difficult climates while wearing PPE.
