We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Santa Barbara, California. Our company specializes in providing sub-systems and components for critical systems on modern military vehicles, including stabilized turret drive systems, integrated weapon systems, ammunition handling, data control and distribution, and power management and distribution.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to generate component and subsystem specifications
  • Define hardware and software interfaces between subsystems
  • Develop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithms
  • Build linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate system performance
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for development teams
  • Support lab and field testing
  • Generate technical documentation (plans, reports)
  • Occasional travel may be required
Ideal Candidate:
