We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Santa Barbara, California. Our company specializes in providing sub-systems and components for critical systems on modern military vehicles, including stabilized turret drive systems, integrated weapon systems, ammunition handling, data control and distribution, and power management and distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to generate component and subsystem specifications
- Define hardware and software interfaces between subsystems
- Develop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithms
- Build linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate system performance
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for development teams
- Support lab and field testing
- Generate technical documentation (plans, reports)
- Occasional travel may be required
Ideal Candidate:
