Wisconsin State HVAC Systems Engineer

Location: Northeast of Madison, WI

State of Wisconsin PE or DE Licensed HVAC Systems Engineer

  • A valid Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems (DE) license and a minimum of four years' experience in designing HVAC systems for large commercial buildings is required.
  • Compensation can go up to $150,000 based on experience.
  • Applicants must be either United States citizens or Green Card holders.
  • This position is based in the office and does not offer remote work.

This is a full-time and permanent opportunity for a Wisconsin PE or DE Licensed HVAC Systems Engineer to work on large commercial building systems. The company is a reputable designer, builder, and servicer of commercial HVAC systems and is experiencing consistent growth, which is why additional employees are being hired. With diverse customers across various industries, the workload is stable and the projects are challenging and varied. The company also offers opportunities for internal promotions, including the potential to lead the design division within the next five years, for qualified individuals interested in that role.

The work schedule is flexible but expects 50 hours per week. Engineers will have the opportunity to witness the manufacturing and functioning of the systems they have designed and installed. There is also potential for growth into a division management position within four to five years. The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
  • Designing HVAC systems for large-scale commercial buildings using Revit or CAD.
  • Managing HVAC projects from start to finish.
  • Calculating building load.
  • Creating installation plans.
  • Choosing appropriate HVAC equipment.
  • Determining system sizing.
  • Handling permit applications.
  • Collaborating with a diverse group of individuals.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Valid Wisconsin Professional Engineer license or a Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems license.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in designing HVAC systems for large commercial buildings.
  • A strong passion for engineering.
  • A stable work history.
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Reside within a 45-minute drive from the job location.
