Chief Stationary Engineer – Manufacturing Operations

Schedule: Full-time | Salary-Exempt
Our client, a leading manufacturer operating a 24/7 production facility, is in need of a certified Chief Stationary Engineer to manage plant maintenance operations. This key role is essential for the continuous operation of all systems and requires a keen technical mind with demonstrated mechanical skills. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver dedicated to safety and ensuring smooth operations day in and day out.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee both planned and emergency maintenance activities to maintain plant operations without interruption.

Act as a primary resource for daily maintenance requirements, coordinating with colleagues and supervisors.

Execute and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for plant systems and equipment.

Provide regular updates to plant leadership on project timelines, repairs, and facility conditions.

Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Ensure the maintenance area is organized, compliant, and safe in line with OSHA and internal regulations.

Collaborate across departments to achieve company goals and enhance plant efficiency.

Assist with other tasks as required in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications & Must-Haves

Chief Stationary Engineer License – REQUIRED

At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production setting.

Educational background or certifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.

Strong mechanical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.

Physical ability to lift 100+ lbs and work in confined or poorly lit spaces for extended periods.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize urgent tasks.
