Chief Stationary Engineer – Manufacturing Operations

Schedule: Full-time | Salary-Exempt

Our client, a leading manufacturer operating a 24/7 production facility, is in need of a certified Chief Stationary Engineer to manage plant maintenance operations. This key role is essential for the continuous operation of all systems and requires a keen technical mind with demonstrated mechanical skills. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver dedicated to safety and ensuring smooth operations day in and day out.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee both planned and emergency maintenance activities to maintain plant operations without interruption.

• Act as a primary resource for daily maintenance requirements, coordinating with colleagues and supervisors.

• Execute and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for plant systems and equipment.

• Provide regular updates to plant leadership on project timelines, repairs, and facility conditions.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Ensure the maintenance area is organized, compliant, and safe in line with OSHA and internal regulations.

• Collaborate across departments to achieve company goals and enhance plant efficiency.

• Assist with other tasks as required in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications & Must-Haves

• Chief Stationary Engineer License – REQUIRED

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production setting.

• Educational background or certifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.

• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.

• Physical ability to lift 100+ lbs and work in confined or poorly lit spaces for extended periods.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize urgent tasks.

• COVID-19 vaccination required (or willingness to obtain).
