Responsibilities

• Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
• Effectively manage all activities necessary to achieve store goals, including financial objectives, client service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses, while promoting associate and client engagement
• Oversee the setup of advertising displays and merchandise arrangements to boost sales
• Manage the gallery and its team members in a professional and inclusive manner, adhering to Human Resource standards outlined in company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
• Directly supervise part-time sales employees, providing effective performance discussions, setting clear objectives, and holding associates accountable to goals
• Coordinate and execute various events, classes, demos, and clubs to achieve financial goals
• Provide excellent customer service and prioritize customer satisfaction
• Recruit, select, develop, and retain a competent store team, ensuring individual accountability for performance

Qualifications

• Show creativity and passion for sewing, and willingness to share expertise with customers
• High School diploma or equivalent. Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising degree is a plus!
• At least one year of retail experience with a proven track record of successful sales closure
• Ability to forecast and analyze business trends, and effectively manage payroll expenses to maximize store performance
• Thorough knowledge of sewing machines and products
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
• Excellent communication skills using multiple forms of technology
• Physical ability to move within the office and handle products weighing up to 50 pounds
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
