Retail Supervisor
Location: Westminster, CO
Responsibilities
- Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
- Oversee all activities necessary to achieve store goals, such as financial objectives, client service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses, while emphasizing both associate and client engagement
- Supervise the arrangement of advertising displays or merchandise on counters or tables to drive sales
- Manage the gallery and its team members professionally and inclusively according to Human Resource standards outlined in company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
- Directly supervise part-time sales employees, including conducting effective performance discussions, setting clear objectives, and holding associates accountable to goals
- Coordinate and execute various customer events, classes, and demos to achieve financial goals
- Provide excellent customer service and act as a role model, ensuring that the client remains the top priority
- Recruit, select, develop, and retain a competent store team and hold individuals accountable for their performance
Qualifications
- Demonstrate creativity, passion, and a willingness to share sewing expertise with customers
- High School diploma or equivalent; degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising is a plus
- At least one year of retail experience with proven success in closing sales; ability to forecast and analyze business trends and manage payroll expense to maximize store performance
- Direct knowledge of our machines and products
- Able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment
- Effective communication skills through various forms of technology
- Able to occasionally move within the office and retrieve or reposition products weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to work a flexible schedule including evening, holiday, and weekend shifts as required by business needs
