Retail Supervisor
Location: Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
- Achieve personal selling and client engagement goals
- Oversee all activities necessary to achieve store goals, including financial targets, client service, human resources management, operational controls, payroll, and operating expenses, while fostering associate and client engagement
- Supervise the setup of advertising displays or arrangement of merchandise on counters or tables to drive sales
- Manage the gallery and its team members professionally and inclusively, adhering to Human Resource standards outlined in company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
- Directly supervise part-time sales employees, conduct effective performance discussions, set clear objectives, and hold associates accountable for goals
- Coordinate and execute various events to achieve financial goals, such as Owner's Classes, clubs, demos, Creative Classes, and freelance educator events
- Provide excellent customer service, innovate to acquire and retain customers, and serve as a role model to prioritize client satisfaction
- Recruit, select, develop, and retain a full store team, and ensure individual accountability for performance
Qualifications
- Creativity and passion for sharing sewing expertise with customers
- High School diploma or equivalent. A degree in Business or Fashion Design/Merchandising is a plus!
- One or more years of retail experience with a proven track record in closing sales, ability to forecast and analyze business trends, and manage payroll expenses to maximize store performance
- Direct knowledge of our machines and products
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment
- Effective communication skills through various forms of technology, including telephone and computer
- Ability to move about the office and retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including evening, holiday, and weekend shifts
