Retail Operations Supervisor

Location: Memphis, TN

About the Job:

Are you enthusiastic about driving sales and financial success? Can you provide an exceptional experience for customers and lead a team of 70-100 members? If so, this position may be perfect for you. As the Retail Operations Supervisor, you are responsible for setting a superior example of customer service for your team. You will also oversee talent management in the store, focusing on engagement, retention, and productivity. Additionally, you will make strategic business decisions to achieve desired results.

What You Will Be Doing:
You are the face of the store and a role model for providing exceptional service to customers and team members. You are responsible for ensuring that all team members deliver extraordinary service. You are also accountable for driving success and supporting growth in the store. Your responsibilities include:

- Educating team members and customers about products and services to offer convenient meal solutions

- Collaborating with Department Managers and Assistant Store Manager to consistently execute operational processes and merchandising plans

- Analyzing sales reports, P&L reports, and other metrics to establish and implement action plans

- Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with team members and upper management to ensure transparency at all levels

- Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to forecast and maintain store teams by sourcing, selecting, and hiring new team members

- Training, developing, and coaching Assistant Managers and team members

o Teaching Assistant Managers how to manage products, drive financial metrics, and engage team members

o Coaching all team members on optimizing operations, team development, and retention

o Motivating team members to educate themselves and others about products

o Coordinating with the Guest Services Manager to provide a hospitable orientation and onboarding experience

- Managing store inventories and teams to minimize product loss

- Ensuring team members adhere to standards and policies

- Engaging with the local community for sales events and promotions

- Ensuring compliance with safety requirements, food safety, sanitation, and risk practices

Availability:

This position requires a flexible schedule including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a retail store manager in a high traffic and volume setting

- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures

- Ability to read and understand merchandising plans and layouts

Preferred qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience in perishable, hospitality, or grocery retail

- Proficiency in Production Planning Software

- Experience with Applicant Tracking Software (iCIMS preferred)

Physical and Work Conditions

- Repetitive hand/arm movements, bending, reaching, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Exposure to extreme temperatures

- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, box cutters, etc.

- Extended periods of standing or walking

- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements
