YOUR ROLE WITH THE CLIENT:

As a Structural Engineer, you will be tasked with the design of all components of the metal building system, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting analysis of frames, secondary members, bracing, cranes, mezzanines, and panels
  • Aiding in the division's sales and profitability by designing structures that are both safe and cost-effective
  • Performing load analysis in accordance with applicable codes
  • Effectively managing projects through clear communication with customers and other departments
  • Reviewing and verifying structural drawings
  • Occasional travel to project meetings
  • Developing innovative and economical design solutions for complex engineering challenges
  • Collaborating with colleagues to nurture professional growth as an engineer

BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desirable, but candidates who can pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and prepare for the next cycle to obtain the PE certification will be considered
  • Experience in Design and Structural Analysis related to steel
  • A team player with a mindset for continuous improvement
