Structural Sales Engineer – North Dallas

Location: Mckinney, TX

We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with a passion for Technical Sales Support.

This role is based in the Far North Dallas area and primarily involves working at our local office. While there is minimal travel required, the candidate must be able to work effectively at the office.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-15+ years of experience in structural design with a focus on commercial structures, including reinforced concrete, light-gauge steel, structural steel, multi-family, and mass timber design (experience with CLT is a plus).
  • Practical working knowledge of wood, concrete, and steel construction methods.
  • General knowledge of concrete anchors and light gauge steel, with experience in designing fasteners, connectors, and lateral systems as an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ACAD, and various design software.
  • Familiarity with Simpson products is a plus.

  • Demonstrate strong self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Show commitment to finding mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Possess and maintain a driving record that aligns with company policies.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires approximately 15% domestic travel, with occasional overnight stays.
