Construction Coordinator
Location: Fargo, ND
We are seeking a dedicated Structures Scheduler/ Field Engineer to join our team in Fargo, ND. In this role, you will work closely with the Superintendent, engineering staff, and Project Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects, with a focus on field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on pre-construction activities such as construction planning, interpreting designs, and drawings
- Ensure understanding of specifications, standards, and subcontractor scope of work
- Uphold and communicate Company safety policies
- Interpret and prepare quantity takeoffs from specifications and drawings
- Create drawings and sketches to support construction tasks
- Verify work quantities for invoicing
- Maintain submittal logs and review submittals and shop drawings
- Ensure accurate completion of craft time cards and cost tracking
- Update as-built drawings and maintain RFI logs
- Participate in reviews and value engineering functions
- Implement and track project engineering procedures
- Take weekly jobsite photographs
- Work with Safety Department to maintain project safety records
- Assist in quality control and project status reporting
- Support project estimates as needed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Require knowledge and experience with MS-Project and P6 for at least 2 years
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- 3 years of experience preferred
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training
- 0 – 2 years of field construction experience
- E.I.T. preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Primavera Project Management 6.0
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft products
- CAD experience, especially AutoCAD, preferred
- Familiarity with document control management software such as Procore or Fieldwire
- Basic understanding of cost analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to relocate to Fargo
- Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and use hands
