Bridge Construction Manager.

Location: Fargo, ND
The Bridge Construction Manager actively participates in and coordinates work related to the construction of bridge superstructures. They supervise the field crew and subcontractors, ensuring the safe and timely completion of all projects with the highest quality of workmanship.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Bridges Manager to develop pre-planned work activities, including safety action plans.
  • Review contracts, project documentation, and plans to ensure adherence to the latest specifications in the field.
  • Plan day-to-day operations on assigned projects, ensuring the availability of necessary resources for timely completion, such as labor, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Hold crew accountable for performance, aligning with company goals, safety audits, and policies.
  • Initiate necessary follow-up actions, such as training, orientation, and discipline.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the crew to review production goals, provide performance feedback, prioritize safety and schedule, address hazards, and gather worker feedback.
  • Ensure dedication to safety by modeling and promoting safe work practices and company policies.
  • Ensure proper safety equipment is available and utilized by all field personnel.
  • Communicate with customers to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
  • Coordinate work, goals, and expectations with contractors or subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in civil bridge/concrete infrastructure construction.
  • Experience with bridge girder installation, bridge deck machine setup, steel and concrete diaphragms, and knowledge of Borg System preferred.
  • Knowledge of HCSS/HeavyJob preferred.
  • Experience in managing crews of 10 or more employees.
  • Ability to read and understand project-specific documents, including schedules, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to oversee the work of others and communicate instructions clearly to the crew.
  • Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions related to the work being performed.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions accurately.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and update project files.
  • Ability to perform other administrative and project-based duties as assigned.
