MEP Construction Superintendent

MEP Superintendent - Commercial
Skills and Experience:
This role will oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors and trade partners in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP). The MEP Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, adhering to schedules, maintaining quality standards, and managing the budget during project implementation.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills; attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of MEP codes applicable to the project
- Well-rounded knowledge of construction disciplines
- Prior experience working with MEP subcontractors and contracts
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP coordination
- Prior experience as a Project Manager, Quality Control, or MEP Superintendent on medium to large projects ($20M+)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
Essential Job Duties:
- Lead the 3D modeling and coordination process for MEP systems
- Assist in developing detailed schedules for MEP activities
- Manage the performance of MEP trade partners on the project
- Oversee the QA/QC process for MEP systems installation, commissioning, and start-up
- Review MEP materials and equipment before installation
- Manage the procurement of materials for MEP activities
- Assist the superintendent in developing the overall project plan for MEP activities
- Coordinate work with subcontractors to ensure adherence to project scope and specifications
