Procurement Manager

Location: Ottawa, IL

We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team in Ottawa, IL. As the Supervisor of Purchasing, you will be responsible for overseeing our procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while upholding the highest standards of quality. This role will require close collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers to optimize our supply chain and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing: Create and implement a strategic sourcing strategy that identifies, assesses, and selects suppliers who meet our quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive improvements in supplier performance.

Cost Control: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement initiatives to reduce costs.

Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce carrying costs.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Quality Control teams to ensure that products and services meet our quality standards.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies in all procurement activities.


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
