Quality Engineer – Supplier I & Engineer-II
A well-established global company is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer I or Supplier Quality Engineer II at their large manufacturing facility located to the east of Atlanta, GA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead changes in Supplier SREA, review Supplier PPAP documentation, and ensure ongoing statistical controls for quality requirements on assigned products.
- Develop, implement, and oversee training strategies for Supplier Quality Assurance and Inspections.
- Improve receiving inspection process for supplier components.
- Coordinate and conduct audits of raw materials and products to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
- Lead quality improvement projects and participate in Kaizen activities to address supplier concerns and improve processes.
- Perform CQI assessments and maintain inspection-related documentation and reports.
- Manage product sorting and defective parts return process.
- Oversee full layout inspections for raw materials and special characteristics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with 1 year of experience for Engineer-I and 3 years for Engineer-II. Proficient in quality tools and equipment operation.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint. Some Access experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supervising employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Long periods of sitting and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
