Supply Planning Coordinator

Location: Boston, MA

Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and strategic individual to fill the role of Supply Planning Coordinator in Boston, MA. This position involves optimizing our material forecasting and purchasing processes to ensure seamless execution and excellent customer service. The successful candidate will play a vital role in aligning our supply chain operations with our production plans and supporting our plant locations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine supply parameters for production materials.
  • Find and implement solutions to improve material availability.
  • Efficiently address and resolve supply issues in partnership with the purchasing team.
  • Drive exceptional performance metrics by championing supply chain objectives.
  • Support and contribute to the strategic development of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Analyze production constraints, bottlenecks, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in supply planning and forecasting, guiding others on system use.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to strategize future business directions.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent supply chain disruptions.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of supply chain tools and act as an SME for demand planning systems.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or a similar area.
  • Strong skills in teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in learning and teaching software systems capabilities.
  • Experience in supply planning, constraint modeling, and procurement processes.
  • Expertise in demand planning and forecasting using ERP software systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and a history of process improvement.
  • Leadership experience in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) with a track record of delivering results.
  • Previous experience in supply chain or plant operations is advantageous.
